For immigrants like me.Canada is an Awesome country, no doubt. Canada is like America with a lot more fresh air and less traffic in terms of workplaces.First, catch up on the social culture: speech, jokes, news,Canadian history, and make Canadian friends. In any case,if you're a foreigner, don't expect Canadians who have rarely seen a foreigner in their life to evaluate you on the same measuring scale that they use for Canadians.YOU STAND OUT,but it's your choice to make that a positive effect^^
One more thing! Before employers care about your attitude, culture, country of education, etc, they want to know if you'll somewhat be a solution to their business' competition or be another load that clings solely on the monthly payment. Rather than being quick to judgment that Western employers are racist towards immigrants, try to be considerate of their point of view. What if they come to your office in your country-You might say, "Why you? It's hard to communicate, relate, and cooperate."
"skilled highly qualified people" shuuld do their research before leaving their native country. really, it is not the canadian government's responsibility to wipe their ass for them. a sensible person should not leave their stable career/job and move to another country without having a job ready for themselves to start when they arrive.

My point exactly.I've done little research before immigrating to Canada, and later did I know that the stories told by the media, ads, friends, and especially by tourists, aren't the reality that may take effect in my personal experiences living there.Take note, this doesn't mean that the hardbound copies and cultural magazines will help immigrants to get any better at knowing what to expect. Experience is also key! Simply, if immigrants devote themselves to live in Canada, stop hiding in niches!
You sir, do not seem to have Canadian friends, which I do, who will leverage you into a workplace! Get friendlier! Break the nativity! It's a free country, be creative. So why be a doctor, a manager, a chef,a scientist from the start. There is a list of things you still have to break through before you can have someone to understand your precious feelings and thoughts. My Canadian friend beside me are guiding me throughout the city to find or start a job, and he's going "waa?" on your statement!
